I'm Brian and I've been fishing the local beaches of East Sussex for over 55 years and I'm a Level 2 Angling Trust qualified coach.
I was 12 when I nagged a schoolmate to take me fishing. A walk of several miles along a disused railway track took us to a local marsh where we fished a small stream that ran into the main river. My trip was rewarded with one small roach and I really was hooked!
After this, a number of the lads from school were invited to our local sea angling club to try fishing from our local beach. Most of us enjoyed it so much that the club set up a youth section for us. This was led by youth club leader and angling mentor Jim, I learned about beach fishing, bait collecting and much more.
About 13 years ago, together with angling colleagues, we started a new youth angling club. As part of that, I completed coaching courses with The Angling Trust. Since then I have been fortunate enough to have coached hundreds of people, both young and old.
I work from East Hastings Sea Fishing Academy where I am the Head Coach. We run a youth club teaching all aspects of sea fishing mainly from the bpackageach but also out on the boat when possible.
I also run an adult beginners class every second Tuesday from 6.30pm to 9.30pm as well as private sessions for individuals or groups. Contact me to discuss your requirements.
I teach people from absolute beginners to experienced anglers that want more out of their fishing. One of my specialties is casting coaching. All styles from overhead thump; Brighton cast, Off The Ground and Pendulum.
Kit and bait supplied as required is all part of the package.
